KRPOA - building strong relationships & connections for residential rental owners and managers

About the KRPOA

The aims of the KRPOA are:

  • promote harmonious business relationships between its members & their tenants

  • to present to the public a favourable image of its members & of the industry as a whole

  • to act as a medium for the exchange of ideas among its members

  • to provide mutual assistance whenever members are faced with problems related to the industry

  • to collect statistical information relating to rents, vacancies, & trends in building design & amenities

  • to speak & act on behalf of its members & make representations to the various levels of government in matters of concern to its members

  • to promote better community planning & to improve the environment in which Canadians live

KRPOA Board

The KRPOA is fully managed by a volunteer board consisting entirely of local rental property owners & managers.

Board membership is a two-year term.

You are welcome to participate & join in the rewarding experience of being a volunteer too. Our members have demonstrated their willingness to mentor, coach & share what has worked & what hasn’t, and we're always looking for new perspectives and ideas.

KRPOA Members

Membership is made up of local landlords, property managers, real estate professionals, & others in the industry. Some landlords own 1-2 units, and some own 800-1000+ units. 

 

Monthly meetings allow for an opportunity to learn from our guest speakers, but to also get advice & learn from your fellow property owners. ​

How you can participate as a Member:  

​

  1. Attend our monthly membership meetings:

    • A guest speaker is selected for each of our meetings, to discuss local or field-specific topics to help educate our members.

    • Hosted in-person and online on the last Tuesday of every month (except for Summer break from June to August).

  2. Like, share, and participate on our Facebook page!

    • Join our Facebook page and keep up-to-date on our events, news, & posts.

    • Members have access to our private Facebook forum to ask questions, get recommendations, or discuss local trends or policy changes.

  3. Stay up-to-date by regularly visiting our website:

    • Members have private access to our ‘Members’ and ‘Resources’ page – which includes:

      • Members Page: Private online chat for members to post questions

      • Resource Page: LEASE ADDENDUM – the Addendum contains a series of additional terms & clauses that can be added as an appendix to the Ontario Standard Lease.
